FAQs | Testimonials Testimonials Cardiac Science has partnered with the City of San Diego to launch Project Heart Beat, a public access defibrillation program, dedicated to saving lives and making AEDs "as accessible as fire extinguishers in San Diego County," in accordance with its mission statement. Along with Cardiac Science, members of the Project Heart Beat coalition include the American Heart Association, the City and County of San Diego, the City's 911 paramedics, San Diego Fire and Life Safety Services, and San Diego Firefighters Local 145. Thus far, Cardiac Science AEDs have been deployed in city libraries, recreation centers, regional parks, city administration buildings and department offices, lifeguard stations, golf courses at Torrey Pines and Balboa Park, senior citizen centers, Qualcomm Stadium, and a number of private businesses that have elected to join the program.
